#2 Men's Basketball Rolls Over Wilberforce 114-80

Tip-Off for today's game at Wilberforce University was less than 24 hours after the Berea College Mountaineers put a 41 point thumbing on Indiana-Kokomo.  Any concerns that the Blue Crew may be tired or used up all of their offensive output, were laid to rest quickly versus the Bulldogs.

Berea College once put on an offensive basketball clinic, demonstrating why they are among the elite scoring teams in the USCAA. BC defeated Wilberforce in Berea last month by 20 points.  The lead at halftime today was 25 as Berea was firing on all cylinders going into the locker room 52-27.

The second half was a wild offensive session with both teams combining for 115 points in the half, including every member of the Berea roster who suited up got in on the action.  BC continued its stellar long range shooting, dropping in 14 on the day, giving them a combined 31 in their last two contests.

Berea was led in scoring by Daishon Robinson who scored 18; but it was balanced offensive attack brought praise from Coach John Hemenway, "we really moved the ball around well and got it to the open man, who then scored."  Aaron Ponder and London Moore added 17 points each, while Moore also shared rebound honors with Seth Beckham and Jalen Simmons at eight each.  BC out rebounded the Bulldogs 40-31.  Richard Parker dropped in 16, while Dominique Garmon contributed 13 and Beckham added 12 to round out the double figures scoring.

The Mountaineers will be back in action on Wednesday, February 11 for a 7:00 pm match-up with University of Cincinnati – Clermont at the Seabury Center.
