Berea, KY - The Berea College men's soccer team took the field against Kentucky Christian this evening. The game ended up having to be called with 18:45 left in the second half due to weather. Since the game did last longer than seventy minutes it will count as an official game and will not have to be rescheduled.
Both teams came out ready to play but neither team was able to score. Kentucky Christian only was able to take one shot in the first half while Berea took nine with three of them being on goal. The second half was just as intense and physical as the first and still neither team was able to score. In this period, Berea, again, was able to outshoot the Knights having six shots with four being on goal compared to KCU's four shots with one on goal.
With 18:45 left in the game, lightning was sighted. After further discussion, both coaches agreed to call the match.
The Mountaineers will be back in action at home Thursday, October 16th at 6:00 PM against Cincinnati Christian University.
