Men's Soccer defeats Crown College 14-0, extends winning streak to 2

In a magnificent display of athleticism and teamwork, Berea College shut out Crown College 14-0 increasing their record to 2-0-0.   Senior Jesse Massucco struck early with 2 goals in the first 15 minutes of the game, those goals were assisted by #8 Rafeal Mendoza and #17 Brad Camenisch.   Jesse would then assist Brad Camenisch a few moments later giving the Mountaineers a 3-0 advantage. 

Berea Would score 3 more times before the half making it 6-0 going into the second half.  Those goals came from #23 Isaac Mendoza, #9 Anthony Boateng and #10 Million Beshah

Even with a comfortable lead the Mountaineers came out in the second half with just as much energy and enthusiasm and were able to find the back of the net 8 more times. 

Berea had a total of 41 shots, #3 Jesse Massucco and #17 Brad Comenisch both walked away with hat tricks scoring 3 goals each.  #10 Million Beshah and #2 Caleb Congrove had two total goals each, and #23 Isaac Mendoza, #9 Anthony Boateng, #4, Henok Kebede, and #24 Ubai Abulteaf each had one goal.  

Leading the Mountaineers with assists was #3 Jesse Massucco and #8 Rafael Mendoza with 2 each.
Berea hopes to keep its winning streak going as the Mountaineers travel for their first away game of the season on Saturday at Transylvania, where they will also play Hanover on Sunday. The next home game is Tuesday, September 8 at 7:00 PM against Boyce.
