University of Virginia-Wise Tops Men's Tennis 6-3.

University of Virginia-Wise Tops Men's Tennis 6-3.

University of Virginia-Wise defeated the men's tennis team 6-3 on Saturday afternoon. UVA-Wise overpowered the team in both singles and doubles in the third match of the season.



The individual results for the men's team are:

Singles

Viktor Tunnikov (UVA) def Michael Slaughter (BC) 6-4, 6-2

Oleg Kopychenko (UVA) def Zac White (BC) 6-2, 6-2

Noah Aldridge (UVA) def Micah Korban (BC) 4-6, 6-2, 6-4

Stephen Brice (BC) def Chase Pollard (UVA) 6-2, 6-4

Berea College gets a walk over on 6 singles (UVA-wise only had 5 players)



Doubles

Tunnikov/Aldridge (UVA) def Slaughter/Deutscher (BC) 8-5

The men's team will be back in action on Friday, April 10th at 5:00pm playing against Ohio Northern in Mason, Ohio. Their match scheduled against Transylvania for April 5th has been postponed until further notice.
