Men's Track and Field Finish Fifth at Centre Invitational

The Men's Track and Field team traveled to Danville, KY where they competed in the Centre Invitational. The meet consisted of 16 teams: four NCAA Division II schools, six NCAA Divison III schools and six NAIA schools. The team finished in fifth place with 49.5 points.

Even though Berea did not have a first place finisher, the team would gain points in 10 of the 20 events at the meet. Point winners were:

Zachary Raab, 3000 Meter Steeplechase, 10:48.69, 6th Place- 3 points

Ali Djire, Dylan Havens, Wynnjones Mbwambo, John Willis, 4x100 Meter, 45.21, 4th Place- 5 points

Emmanuell Kemei, 1500 Meter Run, 4:09.69, 3rd Place- 6 points

John Willis, 100 Meter Dash, 11.23, 5th Place- 4 points

Emmanuell Kemei, 800 Meter Run, 1:59.16, 3rd Place- 6 points

Cody Clabo, Javelin Throw, 41.27m, 5th Place- 4 points

Tevin Webster, Long Jump, 6m, 3rd Place- 6 points

James Alexander, Long Jump, 5.61m, 8th Place- 1 point

Tevin Webster, Triple Jump, 12.61m, 3rd Place- 6 points

James Alexander, High Jump, 1.63m, 8th Place- 1 point

Tevin Webster, High Jump, 1.83m, 5th Place- 4 points

Riley Homan, Pole Vault, 3.35m, Tied for 5th Place- 3.5 points

Next up for the team is a trip to Williamsburg, KY to compete in the University of the Cumberlands Invitation. The meet is scheduled for this Saturday, April 11th.
