Men's Cross Country Runs Away with Second Win of the Season

Berea, KY – Our men's cross country kicked off the 1st Annual Coach Johnson and Mary Kay Invitational with a significant win. Our men's team placed 5 in the top 20, and came out on top with a score of 34, beating out second place, Campbellsville University, who had 46 points. The men's team ran an average 8k of 27:40.

The mountaineers were led by sophomore Logan Mckenzie, finishing first, with a phenomenal time of 26:12. Following him, sophomore Landon Bond took 5th place, with a time of 27:43. Sophomore Tanner Carson ran quickly behind Bond, placing 6th and running 27:51. Junior

Kemmei earned a space in the top 10, place 10th, and running a time of 28:09. Junior Kyle Young finished out the men's team who placed in the top 20, earning 12th place, and finishing with a time of 28:24.

Other finishers for the mountaineers included Zachary Raab 22nd (29:05), Kerry Jones 25th (29:17), Corbin Flege 35th (30:21), Caleb Flege 45th (31:44), and Trent Powell 101st (44:08).

The men's team has continued their winning streak and will be on the road to race on Saturday, September 30th, at the Greater Louisville Classic.
