Softball Falls to #12 in Second Week of USCAA Coaches Poll

The chase for the Softball National Championship got a little harder for Berea as the second week of the USCAA Coaches Poll was released.

The top eight teams will qualify for the national championship and after debuting at #10 and getting 239 points in the initial coaches poll, the Mountaineers fell to #12 and gathered 236 points in the second week of the poll. Berea is only 16 points away from the eighth position in the poll and being in a prime spot to be qualified for the national championship.

After the release of the first poll, the Blue Crew had a doubleheader against Franklin College postponed because of rain and a doubleheader changed to a single game at Centre College. The Mountaineers would collect the win against Centre College though.

The poll will be updated every Friday. The full poll can be seen below.
