Softball Moves Up One Spot in Week 3 USCAA Coaches Poll

The softball team is in the thick of things when it comes to the chase for the Softball National Championship as the third week of the USCAA Coaches Poll was released.

The Mountaineers debuted in the initial poll at #10 and dropped to #12 in the second week of the polls but have moved up to #11 in the third week of the polls. With 238 points this week, Berea is only 16 points away from jumping into eighth spot in the poll and gaining an at-large bid to the national championship tournament.  The top eight teams will qualify for at-large bids to the the national championship.

After the release of the second poll, the Blue Crew had a doubleheader against Kentucky Christian University cancelled because of rain. Berea will try to improve their position in the polls as they take on #15 Tennessee Temple University today for senior day at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
