LaGrange, GA – The Mountaineers traveled to Georgia to take on a fellow USA South member, LaGrange University. 90 minutes of play wasn't enough time for either teams to score, leading the game into double overtime. With neither team able to score in either overtime, the game was called, a 0–0 tie, leaving the Mountaineers to a 1-2-1 season record.
In the first half LaGrange outshot the Mountaineers 6-2. Thanks to a great effort from Berea goalie, sophomore Amber Follin, the Panthers were unable to score. In the second half Berea's offensive outplayed LaGrange, putting up 5 shots to their 3.
At the end of regulation, the score was tied 0-0, sending them into overtime. In the first overtime, LaGrange once again outshot Berea 4-1, but Follin was able to prevent any of them from scoring. In the second overtime, LaGrange's offensive continued to press, outshooting the Mountaineers 4-0, but failing to score. The game was called a 0-0 tie after a great defensive effort by both teams.
Berea will be back in action Tuesday, September 13th to play the Lions of Mount St. Joseph at 7:30PM
