Lions Offense Too Much For Mountaineers

The Berea women's soccer team fought hard on the road Wednesday night against NCAA Division III's Mt. Saint Joseph but couldn't handle the offensive aggressiveness of MSJ and lost 5-1.

Mount Saint Joseph scored at the 28 minute mark and tallied three total goals in the first period. The offensive attack would continue in the second period as the Lion's Olivia Weber would score two more goals at the 65 and 69 minute mark. Berea would get it's one and only goal in the final 5 seconds of the game as Jacquie Zimmerman scored on the assist by Anna Hall.
Berea's Amber Follin had an excellent game in front of the net totaling 13 saves. On the offensive side Berea struggled getting in 5 shots to Mt. St. Joseph's 42.
The Mountaineers move to 1-3-1 overall. Berea travels to Brescia College to face the Bearcats Saturday at 4:00pm EST.
