Mountaineers Hold Kentucky Christian Scoreless

Grayson, KY - The Mountaineers dominated on the road in a 5-0 shutout win against NAIA opponent Kentucky Christian University.

The first period started out full of offense as Berea took 11 shots on goal and also had 4 corner kicks.  At the end of the half the score was tied 0-0. 

The Mountaineer's offense took over in the second half scoring 5 goals from 4 different players. Stefany Reyes scored the first goal for Berea on an assist from Jacquie Zimmerman at 49:49. Just a few minutes later at 54:31 it would be Zimmerman with the goal and Reyes with the assist. Just over 3 minutes later Keisha Guffey would score on the assist from Sohara Perez. Then Stevie Ridley would get on a hot streak score the last two goals of the game on assists from Sierra Massucco and Maria Fernanda Pena, respectively.


With the win the Mountaineers are now 3-7-1. Berea will be back in action Saturday as they face Grace Bible at home at 1:00PM.
