Berea Falls to Grace Bible

Berea, KY - The Berea College women's soccer team stayed at home to face the Tigers of Grace Bible College.  In a back and forth match the Mountaineers fell short to the Tiger 2-1.  This loss brings Berea to a 3-8-1 record for the season.  

Both teams fought hard in the first half but it was Berea that got on the board first with a goal in the 12th minute by Stevie Riedley, Stevie was assisted by Kierra Moore. With under five minutes left in the half the Tigers struck back scoring a goal to tie the game 1-1.  

The second half was a defensive battle with each team only getting 6 shots off each.  With less than 30 seconds left to play Berea's Jacquie Zimmerman was called for a hand ball in the goalie box giving Grace Bible a penalty kick.  Grace Bible would score off the PK and pull ahead 2-1 with under 30 seconds left to play.  The Tigers would hold on for the 2-1 win.

Berea will take on the University of Cincinnati Clermont College at home on Monday, October 10th.  The game is scheduled to start at 6:00pm.
