Wilmore, KY – The Berea women's volleyball team played against the Asbury Eagles on Tuesday, October 6th .Down four players, three being starters, the Mountaineers gave their best, but were defeated with a concluding score of 0-3.
The Asbury Eagles had a balanced attack throughout the match and presented Berea a challenging game. Berea lost in three sets with scores of 12-25, 12-25, and 17-25, sending the Mountaineers on their second loss of the month. This loss brings the Mountaineers to a season record of 11-10.
Berea had a total of 83 kill attempts; just falling short of Asbury's 92 kill attempts. Leading the Mountaineers in Kills were Simone Brown, LeAnna Luney and Kyra Robinson with 4 each. Simone and LeAnna also led the team in block assists with 4 each. Claire Mueller led the team in assists with 11.
The Mountaineers are back in action at home October 11th at 11:00 AM against USCAA # 11 UC Clermont.
