Women’s Volleyball Drops Two at Centre Tri-Match

DANVILLE, KY – The Mountaineers lost two matches on Sunday at a tri-match hosted by Centre College. Berea played their first match of the day against Hendrix College, losing in three sets (25-10, 25-15, 25-16), before falling to host, Centre, in three sets (25-18, 25-17, 25-16).

In the opening match against Hendrix, senior Kyra Robinson led Berea with five kills, hitting .417. Freshman, Bailie Parker had a team-high with seven digs, while the Mountaineers were led in assists by Megan Keller, who had seven.
Berea put up a good fight in their second match against Centre, but the Mountaineers were unable to rally back. Nicole Baker led Berea in both kills and digs, posting six and nine, respectively. Claire Mueller put up 12 assists, which was a team high for the Mountaineers.
The team is now 15-12, overall. Berea looks to bounce back on Wednesday as they travel to Louisville to take on Spalding University.  On October 28th at 2:00 PM Berea finds out if they get a chance to travel to Canton, NY to play in the USCAA National Championships.
