Volleyball Eliminated at 2015 USCAA Volleyball National Championship

CANTON, NY – After going 1-1 earlier in the day, the Mountaineers were defeated by Florida College on Friday evening in the USCAA National Championship Tournament. Berea lost to the Lady Falcons, who went on to win the National Championship, in three sets (25-10, 25-19, 25-20). At this stage in the tournament it was single-elimination play, which knocked the Mountaineers out of the tournament.

Berea improved in each set of the match, but was unable to rally back. The team posted 22 total digs, with Simone Brown and LeAnna Luney leading the way with six each. Freshman Bailie Parker led the Mountaineers with six of the team's 17 total digs, while Megan Keller continued to make an impact by leading the team in assists, posting 14.
With this loss, the Mountaineers finished the USCAA National Championship tournament with a record of 2-3, and an overall season record of 18-16.
