USCAA Honors Six Berea College Volleyball Players

Canton, NY - Six Berea College student-athletes were honored at the USCAA Volleyball National Championship Banquet.  

The USCAA honors 10 First Team, 10 Second Team, and several Honorable Mention student-athletes for their outstanding performance on the court.  Kyra Robinson was named USCAA First Team All American.  Kyra finished the season ranked in the USCAA top 10 in four different areas with her highest being block total where she was 3rd.  Kyra was also 4th in blocks per set, 5th in block assists and 7th in block solo.  

Simone Brown was named to the Honorable Mention team.  Simone also played great at the net with three top 10 USCAA rankings.  She finished the year ranked 2nd in blocks per set, 7th in block assists and 7th in block total.  

Other Mountaineers that received awards were Seniors Nicole Baker and Megan Keller and Sophomores Grace Callow and Sydney Short.  They were named to the USCAA National All Academic Team.  These awards were chosen from a pool of players who had 3.5 cumulative GPA, a minimum of 24 credit hours completed and whose play impacted their respective teams.
