Decatur, GA – The Berea College women's volleyball team (20-11, 12-4 USA-S) capped their first 20-win season in the NCAA era with a conference sweep of host Agnes Scott and LaGrange Saturday.
The Mountaineers cruised to an easy 3-0 win over the host Scotties in the opening match of the day, winning 25-15, 25-20 and 25-13. Senior

The Mountaineers started slow in the second match of the day against LaGrange, needing a late rally to win the opening set 25-23. But Berea took a commanding 10-1 lead in the second set, and finished off the Panthers with 25-16 and 25-13 victories for the 3-0 win. The Mountaineers were led offensively by junior

For the third consecutive year, including last spring's revised pandemic season, Berea has qualified for the conference tournament and will open the post-season this Tuesday at Covenant College. The Scots upset the Mountaineers 3-2 last spring in the opening round. Covenant won both matches against Berea this season, claiming 3-1 victories.
