Mission

The Berea College Mountaineers Strength & Conditioning department is committed to provide a well-designed training program based on our athletes and team needs.

Using experimentally proven methods, a safe and productive training facility our student-athletes will maximize their athletic capabilities developing self-discipline, teamwork, leadership, work ethic, and mental toughness. Our primary emphasis is to maximize the genetic potential of the student-athlete population while supporting the academic mission of Berea College.

Training Philosophy

Focusing on our four pillars (Injury Prevention, Performance Enhancement, Rehabilitation, and Mental Toughness) by means of a periodic plan we develop and implement programs that vary exercise selection, intensity, frequency, and duration to maximize the athlete's potential.
