Berea, KY- The Berea College volleyball team hosted Maryville College in a match on Tuesday afternoon.
The Mountaineers started off strong in the first set and had a lead until the Scots were able to fight back and pull ahead of the Mountaineers. The Scots ended up winning the first set (20-25.) The Mountaineers were able to fight back during the second set. Senior
Carolina Robles put down five kills which helped the Mountaineers come out on top. (25-19)
Berea jumped ahead in the third set, causing Maryville to fall behind and lose their momentum. Then, after the Mountaineers had a five-point lead, 9-4, The Scots scored five consecutive points, which tied them back up with the Mountaineers. After the Mountaineers lost their momentum, the Scots took the victory of the third and the fourth set. (21-25, 22-25)

Idymel Ayala Rivera with 22 assists, and Faboana De'Jesus with 19 digs.
