Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Berea Goes 0-2 in Spalding's Soccer Tournament

The Mountaineers were unable to win either game in the Spalding University Soccer tournament. The Mountaineers lost to hosts Spalding 4-3 in a close game and 5-1 against Adrian College.  
 
The Mountaineers started the game against the hosts, Spalding University with a hot start, scoring two goals in the first 35 minutes. Senior Leonardo Fernandez was able to score a goal in the box in the 24th minute and Junior Gymafi was able to convert a free kick into a goal in the 33rd minute. However, the Eagles were then able to score 4 straight goals against the Mountaineers to edge out a 4-3 win.
 
The Mountaineers again were able to score the first goal of the game against Adrian College, with Junior Gyamfi again scoring for the Mountaineers. However, the Bulldogs were able to score 5 straight unanswered goals to end the game.
