BEREA, Ky.- Today, the Berea Mountaineers played against Agnes Scott to celebrate senior day. This ended in a Berea win, 3-0!

A trio of sophomore Korie Dickson, sophomore Kyla Simmons, and freshmen Chloe Spitzer all saw action in the goal for the Mountaineers in route to their second shutout of the season. The Mountaineers defense surrendered just five shots to the Scotties.

Berea fought hard today against Agnes Scott by keeping the lead the entire game. The first goal of the match was scored by sophomore Alyssa Tittsworth, whom junior Bailee Franklin assisted. Senior Abigail Hansford, unassisted, scored the second goal to five Berea a 2-0 advantage. The final goal of the match was scored by Franklin as Hansford connected an excellent pass on the score.

Throughout the match, Berea registered 27 shots on goal, nine corner kicks, and seven fouls.

The Berea College women's soccer team return to action on Tuesday as they step out of conference play to host Sewanee. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. at the Berea College Sports Complex.
