BEREA, Ky. - The Berea College men's basketball team hosted Asbury University for the annual Berea College Homecoming game on Saturday night at 6:00 pm in the Seabury Center. The Mountaineers had a rough night from beyond the arc as they finished two-of-22 from the three-point line.
After the first half, the Mountaineers trailed by five points while only shooting 9% from the arc. Senior
Isaac Caudill led Berea in scoring in the first half with 13 points. While not shooting well from beyond the arc, the Mountaineers shot an efficient 40.7% overall. Along with scoring, Caudill also led the way on the backboard with six rebounds.
The cold shooting from three-point land continued in the second half for Berea, only hitting one of their 11 attempts. Sophomore
Trey Minter scored 15 points in the second half and finished a perfect seven-for-seven from the charity stripe.
The Mountaineers had three players that finished in double-digits in scoring as Caudill led the team with 22, Minter with 18, and sophomore
Marquis Mackey with 12.
The Berea College men's basketball team are now 3-2 on the season and they will play again November 22nd against Boyce College in Louisville, Kentucky.
