Berea, Ky. – The Berea College men's soccer team faced Alice Lloyd College on Monday evening. With a striking beginning, the Mountaineers led both halves with various opportunities. The overall score was 4-0 in favor of the Mountaineers.
Within 15 seconds of the match junior Jean-Paul Nunez scored the first goal of the evening, setting the electrifying energy for the Mountaineers. Near the end of the first half, a total of 3 goals were scored by senior

Omar Canella to push Berea's lead 4-0 to end the half. The Mountaineers dominated the Eagles in the first half outshooting the opposition 26 to five.
During the second half, the Mountaineers continued to fight for another goal. Alice Lloyd challenged the Mountaineers, but Berea continued its dominance that was displayed in the first half, only allowing one second half shot compared to the Mountaineers' 23.
The Mountaineers will continue their season on Wednesday as they travel up I-75 to battle Transylvania University. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 pm in Lexington, Ky.
