CINCINNATI, Ohio- On Wednesday September 1
4th the Berea College women's soccer team traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio to face the Mount St. Joseph University Lions; unfortunately, they were unable to secure the win falling, 3-0 against the Lions.
The Lions commanded the possession early and pushed the offensive attack in the first half, which led them to score a goal in the 15th minute. The Mountaineers continue to control the pace of the first half but were not able to find the net for the remainder of the half. After 45 minutes the Lions had an advantage over the Mountaineers of 1-0. In the second half, the Mountaineers continued to struggle as the Lions out up two more goals as Berea eventually fell 3-0.
The Mountaineers had a sluggish night with only one shot in the entire game by sophomore
Alyssa Tittsworth compared to Lion's 19. The Mountaineers registered 6 saves and 3 fouls.
The Berea College Women's Soccer team will be back at home this Saturday, September 17 at 3:30 p.m. when they will host Earlham College.
