JACKSON, Miss.- The Mountaineers played their first conference game this Saturday, September 24^th against Belhaven University. The final score of today's match was 4-2 as the Mountaineers defeated the Blazers.

The Mountaineers started strong offensively as they managed to get two goals in the back of the net. Both goals of the first half were scored by senior Junior Gyamfi. The Mountaineers did not stop there as two more goals were scored. One goal was scored by senior Christoff Mendy, and the other was put in the back of the net by junior Joshua Szidik.

Before the match ended Belhaven managed to sneak in two goals, leaving the score at Berea 4 and Belhaven 2.

The Berea Mountaineers play again on Monday, September 26th against Centre College at the Berea Sports Complex.
