The first half of the game unfolded with back-and-forth action, with both teams fighting for control. A pivotal three-pointer by Trey Minter in the last minute of the half, Berea to a 40-38 lead, a position they would maintain throughout the remainder of the game and make a run.
Berea's dominance was shown by their exceptional performance at the free-throw line, where they boasted a remarkable 13-16 record, along with an impressive 55% three-point shooting rate. The team capitalized on Covenant's errors, amassing 29 points. Berea's bench also contributed a notable 19 points to the overall score.
