BEREA, KY – Mountaineers struggled offensively in a 0-3 defeat against the Engineers of Rose-Hulman. The Mountaineers' defense worked diligently to keep the game competitive; however, they were unable to secure a goal.

At the 31-minute mark, Berea conceded a goal to Cameron Hannah during a corner kick sequence. Just two minutes later, Rose-Hulman added another goal, leaving Berea trailing 2-0 at halftime. Following the break, Berea's defense held strong until Landon Kangas converted on a corner kick, heading the ball into the top right corner for Rose-Hulman's third goal.
 

Near the end of the match, Roosvins Josil had a promising shot that was thwarted by the opposing goalkeeper. With this loss, Berea falls to 0-3 at home and holds a record of 1-2 in the Heartland Athletic Conference.

The Mountaineers played a clean match, committing no fouls and receiving no yellow or red cards, although they allowed 4 corner kicks to their opponents. Roosvins Josil led the team with 1 shot on goal.

Berea will look to improve in their next match as they host Bluffton University on October 16th at 7:00 PM.
