BLUFFTON, OH – The Berea College women's soccer team fought hard to secure a 1-1 draw against Bluffton University in their latest conference matchup at the Sears Complex. Berea took the lead in the 34th minute with a goal from
Kaela Correa, marking her fifth of the season. However, Bluffton equalized early in the second half with a goal from Riley Eachus in the 48th minute.
Berea managed a total of 12 shots, with 4 on target, while Bluffton dominated offensively, recording 27 shots with 16 on target. Berea's goalkeeper,
Kyla Simmons, delivered an exceptional performance, making 15 saves to keep her team competitive throughout the match. Bluffton held an advantage in set pieces, earning 4 corner kicks compared to Berea's 1.
The Mountaineers will return to action against Hanover College on October 19 in Hanover, IN.
