BEREA, KY – The Mountaineers secured a hard-fought victory over Bluffton in a competitive five-set match, winning 3-2 with set scores of 25-20, 18-25, 16-25, 25-20, and 15-12. The Mountaineers showcased a strong overall performance, recording 50 assists, 55 kills, and 76 digs, demonstrating their balanced team effort.



Key contributors included Senior Deanna De La Torre, who led the offense with 18 kills and a .298 hitting percentage, in addition to 9 digs and 2 blocks. Adrianna Ocasio Fonseca added 14 kills with an impressive .353 hitting percentage and contributed 5 digs. Senior Idymel Ayala Rivera directed the offense with 32 assists while also recording 13 digs. Amelie Cora anchored the defense with a team-high 24 digs.

The Mountaineers are set to play at home against Bluffton again this Saturday, October 26, at 2 PM.
