SHELBYVILLE, IN – The Berea College women's cross-country team participated in the NCAA DIII Great Lakes Regional Championship on November 16 at Blue River Park. Facing a challenging field of competitors, the Mountaineers secured a 19th-place finish in the 6K race, accumulating a total score of 575 points.
Sophomore
Madison Stonestreet led the Mountaineers, finishing 34th overall with a time of 22:56.56. Teammate
Muhorakeye Joyeuse closely followed in 49th place, clocking in at 23:19.42. Junior
Carah Anteck crossed the finish line at 24:57.62, earning 137th place, while sophomore
Erin Chambers and senior
Summer Bahr rounded out the scoring team with times of 25:33.03 (169th) and 26:15.96 (195th), respectively. The team's total time for the top five runners was 2:03:02, averaging 24:36 per runner with a spread of just 3:19. The top seven runners collectively finished in 2:55:54, showcasing the team's depth and consistency as they concluded their 2024 season.
