RICHMOND, IN – The Berea College Mountaineers faced off against Earlham at the Druley Performance Gym but were defeated in straight sets, with scores of 9-25, 19-25, and 21-25.
Deanna De La Torre led the Mountaineers with 7 kills, achieving a .294 hitting percentage, and added 12 digs along with a service ace.
Adrianna Ocasio Fonseca contributed 8 kills and a block assist, while
Alexis McCullough recorded 9 kills with a hitting percentage of .160 and tallied 10 digs.
Idymel Ayala Rivera and
Brianna Negron Torres directed the offense, recording 16 and 9 assists, respectively.
Nashaliz Garcia chipped in with 4 kills and 2 block assists.
Zoe Fields provided steady defense with 4 digs, while
Daniella Corona added a service ace.
The Mountaineers will return to action in their next away game against Transylvania University in Lexington, KY, on November 9.
