After a quick score following the break, Hanover took control of the game, leading by 8 points at various times. Berea lost their first Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference game to Hanover, with shooting struggles reflected in their 37% success rate (3-17 on three-pointers). Trey Minter led the team with 23 points, 7 assists, and an 8-of-9 from the free-throw line, while Demetris Phillips added 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 block.

Game 2: Berea Falls to Anderson University 91-72
Location: Anderson, IN
In their second game of the week, the Mountaineers faced Anderson University but struggled with a slow first half, heading into halftime down 28-44. Although Bryce Riley started the game with a quick three-pointer, Berea had 10 turnovers and only 31% shooting from the field.

Demetris Phillips worked to rally the team in the second half, scoring and securing defensive rebounds. He managed to cut the deficit to four points with a layup, but Anderson quickly pulled away once again. Berea's late-game troubles continued, resulting in a 91-72 loss. Both Phillips and Minter finished the game with 15 points.
