Pippa Passes, KY - Softball traveled to face Alice Lloyd College in a double header matchup. The Mountaineers lost both games with the scores being 1-7 and 2-11.

Game One: Berea 1, Alice Lloyd 7

After a scoreless 1st inning, Alice Lloyd gets on the board first, by scoring two runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Alice Lloyd continues to increase the lead, by scoring one more run in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Then we entered the bottom of the 5th inning, and Alice Lloyd scored two more runs to increase their lead. The score going into the top of the 6th inning is 0-5. In the top of the 6th, Berea got on the board with
Maggie Dickson crossing home plate to score the only run for the Mountaineers. Alice Lloyd would then score two more runs in the bottom of the 6th inning.

That would end the first game of the day with a score of 1-7.
Kylee Tudor took the circle, pitching a total of 95 pitches throughout the game. Tudor recorded two strikeouts for the game.

Game Two: Berea 2, Alice Lloyd 11

To start off the second game of the day, Berea gets on the board first. In the top of the 1st inning,
Aubrey Sowders hits an RBI-Single allowing
Maggie Dickson to score. Alice Lloyd would then score two runs in the bottom of the 1st. Alice Lloyd would score four more runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Then in the bottom of the 3rd inning Alice Lloyd would add on to their lead by scoring two more runs. Going into the top of the 4th inning, the score is 1-8. In the top of the 4th,
Kylee Tudor would hit an RBI-Single, which allowed
Julie Santana to score the second run for the Mountaineers. Alice Lloyd would proceed to score three runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to end the game with a final score of 2-11.

Maya Meads would start in the circle, throwing a total of 79 pitches in 3 innings of play. Meads would strike out one batter in those innings of play.
Kylee Tudor would come in to relieve in the 4th inning, throwing a total of 10 pitches.

The Mountaineers will be in action this weekend in back-to-back days of conference double headers at home. On Saturday, March 16th, Berea will play Maryville College in a double header. The first pitch is expected to be thrown at 1P.M.
