Softball Suffers Double Defeat Against LaGrange College

LaGrange, GA- Softball travels to LaGrange College in a double header matchup. The Mountaineers lost both games with the scores being 0-8 and 2-7. 
 
Game One: Berea 0, LaGrange College 8
 
With a scoreless first inning for the Mountaineers, LaGrange was the first to get on the board, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Mountaineers had another scoreless inning, with LaGrange scoring another two runs in the bottom of the second inning. Both teams were scoreless in the third inning of the game. Going into the fourth inning of the game, the Mountaineers struggled to put a run on the board, but LaGrange scored four runs, adding on to their lead. The Final score of the game was 8-0, with LaGrange taking game one of the double header. 
 
Game Two: Berea 2, LaGrange College 7
 
With a scoreless two innings from the Mountaineers, Lagrange scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning and three runs in the bottom of the second inning. Both the Mountaineers and LaGrange went scoreless in the third inning of the game. Going into the top of the fourth inning, the Mountaineers scored two runs from a double from Olivia Spare, scoring Mackenzie Howell and Julie Santana. LaGrange answered back, only scoring one run. With a scoreless fifth inning for the Mountaineers, LaGrange added another run to their lead. Both teams went scoreless in the sixth inning of the game. The final score of the game was 7-2, with LaGrange College coming out on top. 
 
The Mountaineers next game will be against Wesleyan College on April 7, 2024.
