BEREA, KY - Women's cross-country achieved a first-place finish this Saturday, outpacing competitors Maryville, Union, and Pikeville. The 5k race took place on Berea's home course, winding around the alumni fields on the south edge of campus.
Junior
Madison Stonestreet led the Mountaineers with a time of 18:52.7, securing first place, followed by sophomore
Muhorakeye Joyeuse in second (20:12.6) and junior
Carah Anteck in third (20:17.8). Additionally, sophomores
Erin Chambers (21:51.0) and
Chrystal Cornwell (23:32.2), along with seniors
Jasiella Grandy (22:32.8) and
Summer Bahr (23:17.4), all finished within the top 10. Notably, Berea's next top scorers included juniors
Summer Bahr (22:23.9) and
Jasiella Grandy (22:34.8), with Grandy's time marking a personal record on the course.

The Mountaineers are scheduled to compete again on October 4 at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, IN.
