Danville, KY – The Mountaineers faced Sewanee University at Centre College and secured a 3-1 victory. Berea demonstrated their skill with total of 80 digs compared to Sewanee's 64. Additionally, the Mountaineers recorded 45 assists, while Sewanee had 38.
Spotlight performances from the game include: Idymel Ayala Rivera with 34 assists, Deanna De La Torre with 21 digs, and Zoe Fields with 2 aces.



The Mountaineers faced Centre College next, suffering a 1-3 defeat. After a strong start, winning the first set 25-23, the Mountaineers were unable to respond effectively in the following three sets. Despite the loss, they showcased impressive determination, finishing the match with 3 blocks compared to Centre's 4.
 

Spotlight performances include: Jade Broka with 3 blocks, Adrianna Ocasio Fonseca with 5 kills, and Brianna Negron Torres with 6 assists. Additionally, Alexis McCullough contributed 7 kills, Idymel Ayala Rivera issued 13 assists, and Deanna De La Torre recorded 11 digs.

The Mountaineers will be home against Maryville College on Wednesday, September 17th, 2024, at 6PM.
