Women's T&F Posts Strong Results at Centre Indoor Showcase
Danville, KY – January 25, 2025

The Berea College women's track and field team delivered an impressive performance at the Centre Indoor Showcase, earning several top finishes across a variety of events.

Senior Kymiah Blair led the Mountaineers with a 3rd-place finish in the 60 Meter Dash, clocking in at 7.93 seconds. Blair also shined in the 300 Meter Dash, finishing 2nd with a time of 41.98 seconds. In the field events, sophomore Ashyia Maddickes placed 4th in the Long Jump with a leap of 5.09 meters and secured 2nd in the Triple Jump with a mark of 11.61 meters. Junior Madison Stonestreet had an outstanding performance in the middle-distance events, winning 1st place in the 1000 Meter Run with a time of 3:12.26.

The 4x400 Meter Relay team, consisting of senior, Jakeisha Lewis, sophomores  Katerina Kovalevskaya and Muhorakeye Joyeuse, and junior Kristin Fischli, finished 4th with a time of 4:08.90.

The women's team will look to build on these strong results as they prepare for the Steemer Showcase tournament on February 1 in Springfield, OH.
