BEREA COLLEGE MOUNTAINEERS GOLF COMPETES AT STATELINE SHOOTOUT IN CINCINNATI

The Mountaineers were back in action this past weekend at the Stateline Shootout in Cincinnati, Ohio. The team set a goal to break 350 total strokes as a team on at least one day of the tournament. Leading the way was freshman
Isaiah Newby, who posted an impressive weekend score of +8 in Rd1 and +5 in Rd2, totaling +13 and finishing 33rd overall. Behind him was freshman
Benjamin Parsons, placing 76th overall with scores of +16 and +11 for a total of +27. Rounding out the bottom of the field were freshmen
Joshua Decker (+41), and sophomores
Braden Hudson (+48),
Ezra Smith (+50), and
Zach Hudson (+51). Overall, the weekend was a learning experience for the Mountaineers, but they are eager to bounce back strong at the HCAC preview event held at Boone's Trace Golf Course on October 18th and 19th.
