Berea College Men's Basketball: Overtime Battle Falls Short Against Franklin

The Mountaineers returned to action on Saturday, traveling to Franklin College after an early-morning bus ride through snowy conditions. The Mountaineers put together a strong first half, taking a 36–31 lead into the break. Both teams traded baskets in a tightly contested second half, with Franklin eventually tying the game and forcing overtime.

In the extra period, the Mountaineers struggled to find scoring opportunities, as Franklin pulled away for an 83–74 victory. Bryce Riley led the way with 24 points and seven rebounds, while Jae'dyn Gist added 17 points and five rebounds. Zach Hudson also contributed with 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists.

With the loss, the Mountaineers fall to 1–2 in conference play and will look to bounce back on Wednesday, December 17, when they face conference opponent Bluffton.
