Berea College Men's Basketball: Conference Play Highlights Against Hanover and Anderson
Game One: Berea vs Hanover (68-63)

The men's basketball team was back in action this past Wednesday, taking on Hanover College to open conference play. The Mountaineers got off to a slow start and trailed by 10 going into halftime. However, coming out of the break, they surged ahead with a dominant defensive effort, holding Hanover to just 20 points in the second half and scoring 35 of their own. This 68-63 victory marks the beginning of conference play for Berea College, with Senior Bryce Riley leading the way with a game-high 14 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Zach Hudson followed with 13 points, 5 boards, 2 steals, and 1 block. Zavian Douglass added 10 points and 3 rebounds, while Braden Hudson chipped in with 8 points to round out the Mountaineers' key contributors.

Game Two: Berea vs Anderson (96-60)
Location: Berea, KY
Berea closed the weekend at home against the number one pre-season poll conference opponent, Anderson University. This game was never close, as Anderson jumped out to a commanding lead, taking a 30-point advantage into halftime behind the efforts of Kenny Troutman and Nolan Swan. The second half followed the same script, with Anderson continuing to pull away with three-pointer after three-pointer, resulting in a 96–60 loss for Berea at home, bringing their conference record to 1–1. Bryce Riley and Nathaniel Barrow led the Mountaineers with 10 points each.
The team will be back in action this Saturday as they travel to Franklin College to another HCAC opponent.
