MEN'S BASKETBALL WEEK 15 RECAP

Game 1: Berea College Falls in Overtime to Mt. St. Joseph 83-76
Location: Berea, KY
Despite a strong first-half performance, Berea College fell to Mt. St. Joseph in a hard-fought 83-76 overtime battle on February 18. The Mountaineers led 38-27 at halftime, but Mt. St. Joseph stormed back in the second half, eventually forcing overtime and securing the win.

Trey Minter led the team with 25 points, shooting 7-of-16 from the field and a perfect 9-of-9 from the free-throw line. Bryce Riley added 20 points and 7 rebounds, while Demetris Phillips recorded a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Marquis Mackey also contributed with 6 points and 2 rebounds.


Game 2: Berea College Falls to Franklin in Overtime Thriller 88-85
Location: Franklin, IN
The Berea College men's basketball team fought hard but came up just short in an 88-85 overtime loss to Franklin on February 22. The Mountaineers controlled the first half with a 45-35 lead, but Franklin responded with a strong second half to force overtime, where they edged Berea in the final moments.

Trey Minter delivered a stellar performance, pouring in 37 points on 13-of-26 shooting, including six three-pointers, while also adding 1 rebound and 2 assists. Bryce Riley contributed 16 points and 8 rebounds, going 5-of-10 from the field. Demetris Phillips had an all-around solid performance with 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks, while Ja'Rel Montgomery added 8 points and 6 rebounds.
