SOFTBALL WEEK 8 RECAP

Game 1: MSJ Defeats Berea, 11-1
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Berea traveled to Cincinnati to face Mount Saint Joseph in the first of two games. The game started slowly for Berea, failing to score in the first inning, while MSJ posted 5 runs. Berea scored 1 run in the second inning, thanks to Mia Thomas, but no additional runs followed in the third, fourth, or fifth innings. MSJ added 3 more runs in the third and fourth innings, finishing the game with a 11-1 victory.

Game 2: Berea Falls to Mount Saint Joseph, 0-16
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

In the second game, MSJ started strong again, scoring 2 runs in the first inning. Berea was unable to score in the second or third innings. MSJ continued their offensive run with 8 more runs in the second inning, then added 3 in the fourth and fifth innings. Berea remained scoreless through the game, ending at the top of the fifth with a 16-0 loss.

Game 1: Berea Challenges Franklin in Close Match
Location: Franklin, IN

Berea faced Franklin in the first game of the day. Franklin scored 4 runs in the bottom of the first, while Berea responded with 1 run in the third. Franklin added 3 runs in the second and 2 in the fourth, while Berea scored 2 in the fifth. Franklin then sealed the game with 2 more runs in the sixth inning for an 11-3 victory. Key scorers included Maya Meads, Maggie Dickson, and Emily Searcy.

Game 2: Berea Battles Franklin but Falls Short
Location: Franklin, IN

In the second game, the teams exchanged early runs, with Franklin scoring 1 in the first and Berea replying in the same inning. No score in the second inning, but Franklin then scored 6 runs in the fourth. Berea tried to rally, scoring 3 in the fifth, but Franklin responded with 3 more in the same inning, ending the game at 10-2. Mia Thomas and Maggie Dickson contributed offensively.
