MEN'S SOCCER WEEK 2 RECAP

Game 1: Berea Falls to Denison University 6-0
On September 12 in Granville, Ohio, the Mountaineers dropped to nationally ranked Denison by a score of 6-0. Berea's defense held strong early, but Denison broke through in the 5th minute and would carry a 3-0 lead into halftime. Goalkeeper Eris Acosta recorded 7 saves before being relieved by Marcus Bishop, who added 4 saves. Despite 90 minutes of effort, Berea managed only one shot, coming from Tomas Gonzaga in the second half.

Game 2: Berea Battles but Falls to Ohio Wesleyan 2-0
The following day, September 13, Berea showed resilience against Ohio Wesleyan. The Mountaineers kept the match scoreless through the first 74 minutes before the Battling Bishops netted two late goals. Goalkeeper Eris Acosta delivered an outstanding performance with 10 saves on 35 shots faced.
