BEREA, Ky. — The Berea College women's soccer team hosted two conference matches this week, falling 3–1 to Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday before dropping a 1–0 decision to Manchester University on Saturday.

The Mountaineers returned home Wednesday evening to face Mount St. Joseph. Berea struggled to generate consistent offense as the Lions controlled much of the attacking opportunities, finishing with 19 total shots (eight on goal) compared to Berea's single shot attempt.
Jayla Heckler provided the lone offensive highlight for Berea, netting her first goal of the season. Despite the setback, the Mountaineers' defense and goalkeeper held firm under heavy pressure, combining for five saves as Berea continued to battle through conference play.
Match 2: Manchester 1, Berea 0
Oct. 10 | Berea, KY
The Mountaineers looked to bounce back Saturday afternoon when they welcomed Manchester University to Berea College Soccer Field. Although Berea came up short in a 1–0 defeat, the Mountaineers put together a significantly stronger overall performance.
Berea dictated the pace from start to finish, outshooting Manchester 20–1 (8–1 on goal) and earning a 5–2 advantage in corner kick opportunities. Despite creating a barrage of scoring chances and maintaining control of the match, Berea was unable to find the back of the net, and Manchester converted its lone shot of the game into the decisive goal.
