Men's T&F Competes at The Last Roar Indoor Cincinnati, OH – February 21, 2026
The Berea College men's track and field team turned in several top finishes at The Last Roar Indoor, highlighted by a relay victory and strong individual scoring performances.
Berea's top performance came in the 4x400 relay, where the A team of Jackson Gunter, Austin Gatewood, Thomas Vaughn, and Arphaxad Nyabuto claimed 1st place (3:33.74) and earned 10 team points.
Individually, junior Austin Gatewood delivered a standout effort in the 800 meters, finishing 2nd (2:05.75) and scoring 8 points. In the 400 meters, Arphaxad Nyabuto placed 3rd (54.80), adding 6 points. Sophomore Hasel Perez-Garcia contributed in distance competition with a 6th-place finish in the 3000 meters (11:58.46).
In the field events, freshman Thomas Vaughn placed 4th in the long jump (6.42m), while freshman Teancum Palmer added a 4th-place finish in the triple jump (11.83m). In the pole vault, Jackson Gunter cleared 3.15m to place 8th and score for Berea.
