Men's T&F competes at EKU Spring Invitational Richmond, KY – March 20, 2026
The Berea College men's track and field team posted several strong performances at the EKU Spring Invitational, highlighted by top finishes in the 400 meters, long jump, and javelin against a competitive field.
Junior Gloire Muzeba turned in Berea's top track result of the meet with a 2nd-place finish in the 400 meters (50.07). Freshman Thomas Vaughn delivered another standout performance in the field, placing 2nd in the long jump (6.69m). In the throws, freshman Micha Woolridge led the Mountaineers with a 5th-place finish in the javelin (41.18m). Berea also posted a solid effort in the 4x400 relay, where Jackson Gunter, Robert Russell, Gloire Muzeba, and Arphaxad Nyabuto finished 7th (3:27.51).

The Mountaineers started off their outdoor season with competitive efforts across sprints, relays, jumps, and throws at the EKU Spring Invitational.
Men's T&F Competes at Pioneer Invite Lexington, KY – March 21, 2026
The Berea College men's track and field team delivered strong performances at the Pioneer Invite, highlighted by a first-place finish in the hurdles and multiple top-three results across events.
Berea's top performance came in the 400 hurdles, where senior Robert Russell claimed 1st place (56.90). Freshman Jackson Gunter added a 3rd-place finish in the pole vault (3.50m), while freshman Thomas Vaughn placed 3rd in the 200 meters (22.34).
Additional strong performances included Jackson Gunter finishing 4th in the 400 hurdles, and freshman Leroy Freeman III placing 5th in the triple jump (12.09m) adding another collegate personal best.
