Softball Recap: Mountaineers Host Four Games, Struggle in Matchups Against Alice Lloyd and Franklin Colleges
Berea College softball hosted four games this week but finished 0-4, facing Alice Lloyd College and Franklin College.
Game 1: Mountaineers vs. Alice Lloyd College (Game 1)
The Mountaineers opened the week with a doubleheader against Alice Lloyd College on Tuesday, March 24. In the first game, Berea fell 11–0, with the only notable stat being Candice Williams, who recorded two strikeouts in the circle.
Game 2: Mountaineers vs. Alice Lloyd College (Game 2)
The second game followed a similar script, as Berea dropped the game 13–0, with Williams adding one more strikeout.

Game 3: Mountaineers vs. Franklin College (Game 1)
Berea looked to turn their season around as they began conference play on Saturday, March 28, hosting Franklin College. However, in the first game, the Mountaineers fell 5–1, with Mackenzie Howell providing the lone highlight by hitting a home run.
Game 4: Mountaineers vs. Franklin College (Game 2)
In the second game, Berea continued to struggle, suffering a 17–0 loss with Kelly Wiard recording two strikeouts.
