Mountaineers Excel at Alice Lloyd Last Shot Invitational

The Mountaineers Men's Golf team hit the green this past weekend at the Alice Lloyd Last Shot Invitational, held at Old Bridge Country Club in Danville, KY. The team was led by freshman Benjamin Parsons, who claimed first place, becoming the first Mountaineer to take the title since the 2017-2018 season. Ben posted scores of 76 and 71 for a two-day total of +3. Parsons becomes the first individual tournament champion for the Mountaineers since former standout Kevin Kim in the 2017–18 season.

Behind him was sophomore Wyatt Clark, who recorded a Round 1 score of 87 and a Round 2 score of 88, finishing with a two-day total of +31. Next, freshman Dylan Howard posted a Day 1 score of 91 and a Day 2 score of 89, resulting in a two-day total of +36. Rounding out the team was sophomore Braden Hudson, who had a Round 1 score of 101 and a Round 2 score of 85, finishing the tournament with a two-day total of +42.

Up Next:

The team will be back in action from May 1-3 as they compete in the HCAC Championship at their home course, Boone's Trace National.
