Mountaineers Shine at Scots Invitational
The Berea College Women's Track and Field team traveled to compete in the Scots Invitational on Friday, April 10, 2026. The Mountaineers put forth a strong effort and returned home with numerous personal records to celebrate.
Event Highlights:

Women's 100 Meter Dash:
Oriana Perez Peña finished 4th with a time of 12.96 seconds, while Hannah Koroma placed 5th in 13.53 seconds.

Women's 200 Meter Run:
Alexzandria Hampton finished 2nd with a time of 26.74 seconds, and Hannah Koroma placed 5th with a time of 28.40 seconds.

Women's 400 Meter Run:
Kristin Fischli captured 1st place with a time of 58.60 seconds, while Nika Davenport finished 3rd in 1:05.05.

Women's 1500 Meter Run:
Madison Stonestreet placed 1st with a time of 4:56.43, and Erika Maldonado finished 9th in 6:11.10.

Women's 5000 Meter Run:
E. Chambers took 1st place with a time of 21:27.23.

Women's 10,000 Meter Run:
Brooke Donley finished 3rd with a time of 46:53.83.

Women's 400 Meter Hurdles:
Lily Arreola placed 2nd with a time of 1:17.24.

Women's 3000 Meter Steeplechase:
Crystal Cornwell finished 2nd with a time of 13:10.18.

Women's 4x400 Meter Relay:
The team of Alexzandria Hampton, Kristin Fischli, Nika Davenport, and Madison Stonestreet placed 1st with a time of 4:07.98.
Overall, the Mountaineers had several top performances, achieved new personal records, and produced results that nearly rewrote the top spots in the record books.

Berea will travel to the Centre Twilight Meet on April 17, 2026, to hone their skills before the upcoming conference championships.
