Mountaineers Compete in Series Against Earlham and Anderson
Berea College softball played four games this week, finishing 1–3 across a home series against Earlham and a road trip to Anderson.
Game 1: Mountaineers vs. Earlham College (Game 1)
The Mountaineers opened the week at home on April 15 against Earlham College, where in Game 1, Berea fell 5–3 in extra innings after a hard-fought contest. Earlham led 3–1 heading into the bottom of the seventh, but Jessyca Searcy delivered a clutch double to center field, driving in two RBIs to tie the game and force extra innings. Despite the late rally, Berea came up short. Madison Howell added one RBI, while Candice Williams recorded four strikeouts in the circle.
Game 2: Mountaineers vs. Earlham College (Game 2)
Berea carried momentum into Game 2, earning a 7–4 victory. The Mountaineers powered their way to the win with home runs from Mackenzie Howell and Madison Howell. Mackenzie finished with two RBIs, while Madison drove in four runs. Kelly Wiard contributed in the circle with three strikeouts to secure the win.

Game 3: Mountaineers at Anderson University (Game 1)
The Mountaineers then traveled to face Anderson University. In the first game, Berea fell 7–2, with Madison Howell and Candice Williams each recording one RBI. Williams also tallied five strikeouts in the game.
Game 4: Mountaineers at Anderson University (Game 2)
In Game 2, Berea dropped a 13–3 decision, with Mia Lewis and Mackenzie Howell each driving in a run in the contest.
